Accounting software and pricing

What is the best accounting software for a Malaysian SME?

For most Malaysian SMEs, AutoCount is a practical choice because it supports Malaysian statutory needs including SST tax codes, LHDN e-Invoice submission through MyInvois and local bank payment files. Choose AutoCount Accounting on-premise from RM 1,600 one-time if you prefer a one-time licence and mainly work from one office. Choose AutoCount Cloud Accounting from RM 70 per month if your team works remotely or you do not want to maintain a server.

Which AutoCount Accounting edition should I buy?

1 Account Plus at RM 1,600 suits a micro business with one company book. Account Plus at RM 2,200 includes three account books and modular add-ons. Express Plus at RM 2,800 adds stock control. Basic at RM 4,200 includes five books, multi-UOM and advanced reports. Pro at RM 6,000 adds multi-location stock. Premium at RM 9,000 adds stock assembly and batch or serial control.

How much does AutoCount Cloud Accounting cost in Malaysia?

Lite is RM 70 per month, Basic RM 100 per month, Plus RM 140 per month with department, multi-currency and stock features, and Pro RM 180 per month with multi-location stock. All tiers are LHDN e-Invoice ready.

AutoCount or SQL Account — which is better?

Both are established Malaysian accounting systems with SST and e-Invoice support. AutoCount is often preferred when multi-location inventory, batch tracking, assembly, POS integration, add-ons or a cloud edition with a familiar workflow matter. The right choice depends on your inventory complexity, headcount and outlet count.

LHDN e-Invoice and SST

Is AutoCount ready for LHDN e-Invoice and MyInvois?

Yes. AutoCount Accounting, AutoCount Cloud Accounting, Palm POS and One Sales support MyInvois submission, validation responses and consolidated e-Invoices. Automate Softtech can configure the TIN, submission credentials and document mapping, then train your staff to handle rejected documents.

Who must comply with LHDN e-Invoice in Malaysia?

LHDN is rolling out e-Invoice in phases based on annual turnover, ending with broad taxpayer coverage. Any Malaysian business issuing invoices should check its implementation date and prepare a validated system, accurate taxpayer details and a process for rejected submissions.

How does AutoCount help with SST 2026?

The expanded Sales and Service Tax scope changes which supplies are taxable and how tax codes are mapped. AutoCount supports SST tax codes, SST-02 return figures and correct invoice presentation. Automate Softtech can review and remap your tax codes during an upgrade.

What payroll software supports EPF, SOCSO, PCB and EIS in Malaysia?
